These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Rennt (“Service”), operated by [Rennt, Inc.] (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Rennt is a two-sided rental history platform that allows landlords to submit reviews of tenants and tenants to submit reviews of landlords. The Service provides verified, scored rental histories to help both parties make informed leasing decisions.
Rennt does not independently verify the accuracy of reviews submitted by users. Reviews reflect the subjective experience and opinion of the reviewer.
Rennt is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Reviews and scores on this platform may not be used as a “consumer report” for purposes of credit, employment, housing, or any other FCRA-regulated purpose. Landlords may not use Rennt reviews as the sole or primary basis for denying a tenancy. Rennt does not provide tenant screening services and expressly disclaims any use of the Service for such purposes.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Rennt, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at support@rennt.com.
You may not create more than one account, impersonate another person, or create an account on behalf of someone else without their express consent.
By submitting a review, you represent and warrant that:
You grant Rennt a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute your review as part of the Service.
You agree not to:
Rennt is committed to compliance with the Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. § 3601 et seq.) and all applicable state and local fair housing laws. These laws prohibit discrimination in housing based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability, and other protected classes.
You may not use Rennt to discriminate against any person on the basis of any characteristic protected under applicable law. This includes, without limitation:
Rennt reviews are opinions based on rental conduct and experience. Landlords must comply with all applicable fair housing laws independently of any information obtained through this Service. Rennt expressly disclaims any responsibility for housing decisions made by landlords using this platform.
We will remove reviews that contain discriminatory content and may terminate accounts of users who engage in discriminatory conduct on the platform.
If you believe a review about you or someone else violates these Terms — including reviews that contain false statements of fact, harassing content, prohibited personal information, or discriminatory language — you may report it using the flag feature on the review or by contacting support@rennt.com.
Rennt does not adjudicate factual disputes between reviewers and subjects. We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to remove reviews that clearly violate these Terms after investigation. We are not obligated to remove a review solely because the subject disagrees with its content.
If a profile exists for you but was created by another user, you may claim it by registering with the associated email address. See Section 8 for details.
Tenant and landlord profiles may be created by other users submitting reviews. If a profile exists for you, you may claim it by registering with the email address associated with that profile. Claiming a profile consolidates all reviews submitted under that email address into a single verified profile.
Rennt reserves the right to verify claimed profiles and may require additional documentation. False claims of another person's profile constitute a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.
We reserve the right to remove any review or content that, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, is clearly defamatory, contains prohibited personal information, or is otherwise harmful to users or the integrity of the Service. We are not obligated to remove content solely because the subject disagrees with its contents.
The Rennt name, logo, platform design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by [Rennt, Inc.] and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements without our prior written consent.
You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us the license described in Section 4 above.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any reviews or scores on the Service. You rely on information from the Service at your own risk. Rennt is not responsible for any leasing decisions made based on information from the Service.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, [RENNT, INC.] AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless [Rennt, Inc.] and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, conduct that we determine is harmful to other users or the Service, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Reviews you have submitted may remain on the Service after your account is deleted, as they pertain to other users' profiles. You may request deletion of your reviews by contacting support@rennt.com.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [County, State], and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
